Dear [Name],
I hope this message finds you well. As a passionate advocate for CASA of Northwest Arkansas, I’m excited to serve as a table captain for this year’s Light of Hope Breakfast on Wednesday, November 5.
Why CASA Matters: CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) plays a vital role in the lives of children, teens, and young adults who have experienced abuse and neglect. Dedicated volunteers ensure that foster children receive the support they need, from medical care to educational resources. Last year alone, CASA supported 642 young people in Northwest Arkansas.
Your Invitation: I invite you to join me at my table during the event. It’s an opportunity to learn more about CASA’s mission and how you can make a difference. The gathering will bring together over 900 business leaders, elected officials, and community members who share our commitment.

Table Captain Frequently Asked Questions
What is Light of Hope?
Light of Hope is CASA of Northwest Arkansas’ signature fundraising event, during which we will share our important mission to advocate for children and youth in foster care in our community. Light of Hope is an opportunity to hear inspiring stories of impact, learn more about what it means to be a volunteer, and invest in our community’s children. Light of Hope is also our largest volunteer recruitment event, and we will share information about to how become a volunteer advocate.
What is the role of a Table Captain?
As a Table Captain, we ask you to attend Light of Hope and invite nine of your friends, neighbors, colleagues, and family members to attend with you. If you would like to invite more than nine guests, we will happily accommodate you! Ask the people in your circle to come with you to learn why your support is vital to our organization!
Is there a cost involved?
Light of Hope is free to attend. At the conclusion of our event, we will ask all guests to make a financial contribution. As our only fundraising event, we rely on the generosity of attendees to help us continue to be able to serve every child in foster care in Northwest Arkansas.
Why are there two dates?
Light of Hope is one event that takes place on two different dates. Our breakfast event, held in Rogers, Arkansas, is typically attended by Walmart professionals, vendors, businesspeople and community members from the Benton County areas. Our lunch event, held in Springdale, is heavily attended by Tyson employees, business and community members from the Washington County area.
How long is the Light of Hope program?
From beginning to end, Light of Hope is a one-hour program. We value the time you are choosing to spend with us and work hard to be mindful of that.
Why are Table Captains so important?
Light of Hope is successful because of people like you, who believe in our mission, believe in the work of our volunteers, and most importantly, believe that every child in foster care in our community deserves the advocacy and support of a caring, committed CASA volunteer.
